About Best Generator Buys
Best Generator Buys is a small, hand-checked list of discounted backup power gear: portable and inverter generators, standby generators, transfer switches, portable power stations and related accessories. Alongside the deals we link to generator news, recalls and rule changes from other publishers, and we publish short sizing and safety guides written by us.
How we pick deals
We open each product page on the retailer's own site and read the sale price and the "was" or list price shown there. We only list items that were available when we checked, and we say so on the card when a price depends on the store, size or color. We don't make up prices, ratings or reviews. If we can't confirm a price, the product doesn't go up. Prices change fast, so the price in your cart is the one that counts.
How we handle news
Regular news cards are short summaries in our own words, and every headline links to the original publisher, where the full story is. FARM SHOW Magazine stories are credited to FARM SHOW, link to farmshow.com, and may use FARM SHOW’s own photo or logo. Best Buy cards quote the published reader review from FARM SHOW.
How we write guides
Our guides are short, practical write-ups in our own words. Where a guide leans on a manufacturer's instructions or an agency's guidance, the card names the source, and a product's own label or manual always comes first.
Photos, names and links
Product photos on deal cards come from the retailers' own product pages and link back to them. Photos on news and guide cards are AI-generated illustrations, labeled "AI Image - Not Actual Photo", except FARM SHOW cards, which use a FARM SHOW photo or the FARM SHOW logo. Store, brand and product names are trademarks of their owners and appear only to identify products. Best Generator Buys is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of the stores or brands listed.
